Before and After: Besson 2-20 Model Trumpet: 1963 - New Patina with Brace Modification

SOLD: The English-made 2-20 is a very under-rated model.  It is classified as an "Intermediate" level horn, but has many of the awesome features of the professional level 10-10 (minus the triggers).  For instance the nickel-silver outer slides (found on pro-line horns) fight corrosion by eliminating  brass-on-brass contact.

We did the Paul Ayick modification on this horn to move the brace to the tuning slide which improves slotting.  The horn is fairly light weight and has a large and dark core to the sound, but has very nice overtones.  Good Intonation, valves have good compression and slides move smoothly.  I enjoy playing this in a jazz combo situation.
